Various groups who have benefited through past Bikers for Tykes and Troops Motorcycle Rallies have been the Fight for Children, area Boys and Girls Clubs and National Institutes of Health (NIH) charities. The auto insurance provider has chosen Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters and the USO of Hampton Roads to benefit from next year's event. According to GEICO Communications and a recent press release, &quot^Each year, it is our mission to give back to the Virginia Beach community through this fun weekend and raise even more money than the year before. To date, our Bikers for Tykes & Troops Rally and Concert has raised more than $200,000 for our charitable groups,"  said Joe Thomas, GEICO regional vice president. "We are gearing up for this year to be our biggest and best event so far!"

Bikers for Tykes & Troops events vary, but have included games, bands, stunt riders, local motorcycle vendors and contests. Due to the event's popularity, those planning on attending are advised to book a campsite at the local KOA campgrounds early, especially if participating in the 2010 Freedom Ride. To get an idea on cost (2010 pricing has not been released yet), the 2009 advance ticket prices were $20 for the weekend, with one-day tickets also available. Friday and Sunday tickets were $5 each, and Saturday tickets cost $10. Those 12 and under were free at the 2009 event, and military members got advance ticket prices on event day by showing a valid military ID.
